Listen to and watch several Christian Science lectures designed specifically to be given on university campuses. Topics discussed include identity and purpose, true manhood and womanhood, depression and suicide, and how to be a better healer. These lectures speak directly to questions that many college students have.

Hey all,
Just three things:
1) - thank you for posting these
2) - can you split them so they have titles, so we can see what the lectures are (and add a download link, but I’ve already posted that in the forums..)
3) - thank you! [laughing]

Hi,
I have a question about summit meetings, specifically the lectures part: Are they limited to young people, or can a grandmother attend?
How about attending the other sessions, too?
Good questions. The Summits are for ages 12-30 so that young people have a chance to explore their questions and spiritual growth among just their own peer group — at least for the day or two of a Summit.
A little background info may help answer this further…when the Christian Science Board of Directors initiated a focus on reaching out to youth, TMC Youth was formed to explore ways that TMC could do this more effectively. TMC Youth took its lead from three Manual provisions related to youth — Sunday School, Christian Science Organizations (CSOs), and full Mother Church membership at age 12.
We’ve explored many ways to support young people in getting the most out of these pillars and the Spiritual Activist Summits are one of the ways we’re doing this. Summits support membership by highlighting the core ideas behind the Manual resources provided for actually living and proving the Christ. Our mandate is to listen for the natural spiritual yearning in young people and explore ways of better connecting this desire with genuine, practical Christianity.
Mary Baker Eddy defines the age for membership at 12 and the age for Sunday School as up to 19. We felt it might be useful for these youth gatherings to extend this up to 30 in order to include those transitioning from Sunday School into church, thus our age bracket of 12-30. Hope this helps.
Hi there everyone thanks for the lectures enjoy all of them one surely helps me to look away from the body towards Spirit to gain the spiritual sense of wholeness. I was struggling with the insinuations of the carnal mind and the lectures sure have helps me to see through the deceptions.
Thanks All of you. Keeps up the good work.
