    Hi Ginny,

God bless you! Thank you so much for such a funky :) yet ABSOLUTELY clear and uplifting lecture. You talk made me think of Children of Israel. When I started reading the Bible and understanding it better over a decade ago, I was struck by how candid they could talk to God (even complaining to Him on a daily basis!). It made me happy to think that there was that kind of OPENNESS and SAFETY in communication between God and His children, and your talk as well as your style truly exemplify that!

The way you talk about your past is also open in a way that some religious people may have felt “threatened.” Yet, the bottom line is, even Prophets in the Bible went through some wacky stuff (AND, in their cases, it is aaallllll written down in the Bible! Gosh!) The thing is, God STILL chose them as Messengers.

Drugs, sex, etc…. they are after all NOTHING! Absolutely, nothing - no matter how much the society may make a big deal out of it all. And, once again, the way you openly address these often avoided issues communiates to the youth that they ARE indeed nothing - with no substance, satisfaction, etc…, so the youth can certainly express a sense of dominion over all these…

Anyway, just wanted to drop you a line to say Thanks!

Thanks so much for the feedback Samantha!

The Summits are a wonderful place to be “real” aren’t they!

Each of the lecturers who participate, feels a special joy and privilege in being able to speak from the heart to such beautiful hearts as those we meet at these events. We are so blessed to be able to lecture at the Summits.

I find peace and assurance in knowing that evil, or whatever would limit us, is totally unreal, as you pointed out, and that to share how evil is destroyed by Christian Science, in stories, is the clearest way to explain its nothingness and the allness of God.

Our innocence is God’s gift to each of us. I cherish the discovery of beautiful innocence, found as the mist of animal magnetism’s lies, is gently lifted, by the light of divine Love understood.

The exposure of evil is necessary to destroy it and nothing does this like a life healed by the Christly presence of God, by this law of Love, or Christian Science.

Quote from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy:
571: ” Who is telling mankind of the foe in ambush? Is the informer one who sees the foe? If so, listen and be wise. Escape from evil, and designate those as unfaithful stewards who have seen the danger and yet have given no warning.”

Mrs. Eddy worked tirelessly to establish this amazing Christian Science. I see it as our joy to continue this work, in our own awakening, and in our willingness to see the truth, in those who come into our consciousness. Honestly sharing the blessings we experience with others, seems so natural and right doesn’t it. God is so good how can we not share what we see of that goodness?

I’m grateful that we have nothing to be ashamed of as we awaken and find freedom from the chains of material sense. We are innocent and we can rejoice that our names are always written in heaven.

Again, thank you for your honesty and your willingness to be such a grateful disciple.

    Hugs,
    Ginny Luedeman

Ginny - Thank you so much for your reply. Your words touched me so deeply. As we speak, my husband and I have started the process of separating… I do see this as a much needed PROGRESSIVE step. I jotted down some of the words you wrote in your response. And - Wow - the words, “a grateful disciple,” really resonated me and made me thankful. Through this process, I am knowing that things are being unfolded, because I am abiding by the discipleship of Christ. And, it should likewise BLESS my husband and his path.

    Have a great day-

    Samantha~
I’m sorry to hear that you are going through a spearation. There have been times in our marriage when we had to struggle to keep it together and that’s certainly a challenging time.

Praying about husband and wife qualities, studying those qualities in both The Bible and in Science and Health, then knowing that those qualities are reflected from God and that becuause God fills all space, the goodness we hope for and love is ours at all times, has helped my husband and me to weather some of the hard times and to again find the love that unites us to be lasting and strong.

I love how we hear in church every week, that we are “undivorced from Truth.” That is such a real and practical statement when applied to realtionships.

I rejoice knowing that your husband is the Lord. Isaiah 54:5 “For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.”

I think that means that your human husband’s “wife” is also God. So in reality both of you are forever undivorced from Love. What a promise!

Your prayer and devotion to good will bring healing and joy because you walk with your divine Parent’s care. God loves you both!

    With love,
    Ginny

One of the things that stood out to me in your talk, Ginny, is how you REALLY worked to see the INFINITE, EVER-PRESENT good and love, tangibly FELT, expressed AND EXPERIENCED in our lives.

I know that what you did was not a mere exercise with imagination.

I am so grateful that, after many years of singlehood, I married this man and got to have certain human experiences. I now REALLY see that living a life with my Maker AS MY HUSBAND is a everyday possibility!

This morning, as I was driving to work, He whispered in my consciousness, “Let me show you how much I love you…” I saw an eagle(-looking :) bird flying over my head… Reminded me of one of hymnals (”.. eagle wings..”)

There is more that I am not posting here per se… but… I just wanted you to know that the way you talked about how CONCRETELY you grappled with tough questions on love, relationships, happiness, satisfaction HEAD ON REALLY impressed me and comforted me!

    Love - Samantha
