How great to connect with our world neighbors through prayer! Each day I “google” a different country and look for news from that area. To-day’s is Mexico - here’s an opportunity to pray for “youth”. “Mexico nightclub tragedy caused by inept police and an ignored youth, advocate says” is an article title that can be found at: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/laplaza/2008/06/mexico-nightclu.html. This article mentions tensions amongst the mayor, police and youth.
It seems effective to pray beyond knowing there’s One Mind in each of these politically-charged seeming challenges. One Truth I’ve been praying with to-day is, “Love alone can impart the limitless idea of Mind.” (from “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures” p 510).
I’m delighted that recently some news articles I’ve discovered in world-wide publications are beginning to provide positive press in their coverage - a great way to affirm the goodness that we are capable of seeing e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e in God’s creation.

This was a great talk…thanks for posting it! One thing I think is so cool about Christian Science is that it encourages us to rise above divisive, human opinions and look at situations from a more balanced, spiritual perspective. I think this is especially impressive in contrast to some other religions that try to get their adherents to take political sides. I think a more balanced view on political issues manifests more love and goes a longer way in helping to heal the problems in the world.
