This recording of the Nativity story was written and recorded by the TMC Youth staff. It’s about fifteen minutes long and includes a song written by Serah, a recording artist living in France. We hope you enjoy this gift of inspiration and that you’ll share it with friends and family! Feel free to share your comments and your own inspiration about Christmas on our forums.

Thank you for this gift of light. It touched my heart today. I plan to share this with my children over Christmas time. Thank you again.
Thanks for this wonderful Christmas gift. I’ll be sharing this story with my friends to share with their children. It’s easy to forward this to friends of all faiths. Thanks.
Beautifully told, thank you for this gift; I even learned some new details!
Beautiful! Thnaks so much.
Thank you for this precious gift. Voices, music, message — the light shines through it all.
Thank you for a wonderful gift!
Good work everyone! Peace on Earth & Great Good to ALL!
Beautifully done! A wonderful gift to all! Thank you.
Well, you certainly know what gift-giving is all about! Bless you for sharing your creative talents in retelling the story of this blessed event!
Beautiful. So simply and lovingly told.
A prayer answered - I now better understand the practical significance of Christmas and the Christ. Thank you all.
It just touches me very deeply - the way you all retell this ancient story. I feel the love each one of you expresses. A wonderful gift to the world at this time - and anytime. Thank you!
I wish to thank all of you for this great job and inspired gift. I clearly undserstand again that Christmas is not just more mortal noise period, but God’s everyday gift of Christ in calmness and purity to mankind.
Very simply, thank you. I wept. I understood more. I saw more of that “Light”. May the whole world feel the healing effect this message reveals!
Thank you for this gift of light. This the opportunity to share this with my Sunday school over Christmas time. Let’s God bless you for that and for all you make for youth progressing.
It’s wonderful!!!
Want to share this after Sunday School. We have no internet connection possible at Sunday School (phone or otherwise)How do I record it to play?
Thanks
Just what I needed. It is at least 80 degrees here in Florida. Definitely no snow!
My wife is at a baby shower for the mom of one of her students that is a new arrival to our country. I just finished a letter to a friend in prison. My sons hope to play carols in their own small brass choir at the band shell tonight….but it didn’t really start to feel like Christmas until I stopped and listened to your efforts. Thanks!
It’s a great idea to play this in Sunday School!!!
Yes, I am downloading it for my Sunday School class!
How fresh the retelling was. It was a gift sans ribbon and packaging! The best kind of gift.
I loved to think how Joseph may have felt, and in the end the star or the angels speak to each character. Just like in real life- the Truth comes to all- transforming and healing us all.
I have been praying a lot about homelessness, especially as it gets colder here in Chicago. Whether it is a person in my town or the black kitty that often appears on my back deck, Love has to be protecting and warming them all. Often, homelessness feels like people lack direction in their life, but that same star of light is guiding each person, including me to know how to be helpful. It is not Principled or God-like to wander or feel uncared for.
Spiritual Truth is our Life and our whole purpose in Life is in living Truth.
Thank goodness, we can do this the whole year round.
Amen and gratitude!

This is really great. Thank you so much!
Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of gratitude! Thank you : ) and Merry Christmas to the whole world!
I second all the other comments and add one of my own. It is the first time I have really understood the meaning of the three gifts of the Wisemen, frankincense, gold, and myrrh. It’s wonderful to think that we are each children of light and of the day.
Wonderful!! Thank you so much. I loved it.
Beautiful and so timely to remind us all of Christ’s purpose and message. Thanks for sharing
What a beautiful ending! Wow, so touching… Serah’s music is perfect.
The innkeeper was the best by far. She’s the one who made it interesting.
It was really interesting and I loved the innkeeper’s part. She should’ve had more lines.
I can hardly wait to share this with a young friend of mine who loves learning about Jesus and doesn’t get to go to church often. Thank you for such a lovely story of what Christmas is really about.
Thanks ! A wonderful Gift,
i am eager to send you my comment on this coming christmas event
christ is forever born and is with us all
nothing to fear
nothing to doubt
no more sin
and no more death and accusations
let shear with all this love
This is a fresh and inspired telling of this valuable, ancient story. Have you considered putting it into an illustrated book & CD format? It would be a wonderful “gift of light” to give to friends & family.
The facet of the story that impacted me the most was the fact that Joseph listened to the angel and believed that Mary was telling the truth about the origin of the infant. He acted upon that thought by protecting her and the child rather than follow the law that would have sentenced her to death.
I look forward to having this on a CD for sale in our Christian Science reading room. To share this light with the world.
Hi Jackie –
We’re so glad you enjoyed The gift of Christmas light. We don’t have any plans to sell it, but it’s already reaching a large audience via iTunes and this site. You can send a link to any of your friends quickly and easily — and for free!
Thank you so much for this lovely gift. I have shared it with half of my address book. I love the work that your department is doing. And I am so grateful that your talents and love for all mankind has found a means of expression through this avenue.
Your Christmas message is so beautiful. It brought a tear to my eyes — probably to let the Christ light shine through even brighter!!!

What can I say that hasn’t been said already? This is an amazing piece! I truly enjoyed it! Thank you.
this is absolutely beautiful. thank you- I espcially like the thoughts of the wise men/ elders and the heavenly chorus.
Thanks so much for this new approach to the Christmas Story; it is fresh, inspiring, and realistic in presentation; it meets a need for today, with the old story becoming new once again.
I truly enjoyed listening to it, along with the descriptive sections of the journey to the birthplace of the holy child.
Kudos to TMC Youth Group for their creativity, inspired story telling efforts, while retaining the beauty and wonder of this spiritual event.
Thank you each and all.
I know that light and it came to me in the darkest night of my life. I didn’t know then from where it came or where I might experience it again but it left me with a peace for days that I’d never before experienced. I hungered to know it again and subsequently came to know Christian Science. Now the light and peace of Christ is mine.
This was beautifully done and a wonderful gift to hear. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
As Christmas Day comes to a close, someone phoned saying they were emailing me this link. What a precious way to complete my spent quietly in prayer. The dear voices and Serah’s music so lovely…thank you!
Dear TMC Youth team,
We listened to your Christmas story and thought that your own idea of the story stayed true to the Bible.
I enjoyed your interpretation of the story and also the style in which it was read.
Thank you for taking time to write it and I will definetly recommend it to a friend of the church.
Please think about doing other stories from the Bible eg Easter.
Many thanks

Really nice retelling of the story. Could you do some other Bible stories, too?
Thank you for this lovely Christmas story.
I hope it will be available here for some time after Christmas. Perhaps through January.
Hi Anne –
The gift of Christmas light will stay on our site in the podcast section, long after January.
Best,
