Learn how Christian Scientists effectively interact with the government; how statutes and regulations are made and how they might impact the practice of Christian Science around the world. This position provides excellent experience for those interested in a legal or government-related career.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with legal research on specific topics, using internal and external resources
  • Help with the collection and organization of research into a usable resource
  • Manage files and databases
  • Learn about Committee work with its world-wide focus

Desired Qualifications:

  • Class instruction desired
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent research and organization ability, and verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to search legal/legislative databases on the internet.

How long is the internship?

  • 8 week minimum and no more than 4 months.

When do I start?

  • No sooner than May 1st

There’s a lot of misinformation out there about Christian Science. You may have come across it in newspapers, television, the internet, etc. Did you know Mary Baker Eddy put in place a Manual-based activity whose job it is “…to correct in a Christian manner impositions on the public in regard to Christian Science,…”? (Article XXXIII in the Church Manual)

You can be a part of this Manual-based activity and gain first-hand insight into the behind-the-scenes work required to support the Manager’s Office and Committees around the world!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various projects relating to the Manager’s office’s support of the Committees – some may include analysis, event planning, data entry, etc.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks.
  • Communicate with Committees on Publication from around the world.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Customer service background with strong written and verbal skills
  • Listening and reporting skills
  • Class instruction desired.

When do I start?

  • Anytime

How long is the internship?

  • 6 week minimum and no more than 4 months.

3 month minimum and no more than 1 school year.
