Get a behind-the-scenes look at how a magazine operates from concept to design. Gain experience with the editorial process for publishing on the web and in print. Discover how to present a spiritual response to issues facing youth. Be exposed to thinking globally about Christian Science. Learn how to apply Christian Science in a deadline-oriented setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with editing content for the magazines and the web
- Assist with copyediting of reprints and related projects for the web
- Write at least one metaphysical article
Desired Qualifications:
- Journalism or English major preferred
- Some familiarity with publishing environments, including the Internet
- Keen interest in writing and Christian Science
- Reader of the magazines and spirituality.com
- Ability to work with teens/20-somethings
How long is the internship?
- At least 8 weeks
