Responsibilities:

  • Assist with book development from concept to completion — gaining exposure to all aspects of publishing
  • Work with and learn from editors and designers who create and design new books and corresponding marketing materials
  • Conduct research and synthesize information for editors to review

Desired Qualifications:

  • Committed to Christian Science
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Desire to become familiar with any of the following: editing, Bible studies, typesetting and proofreading, graphic design, advertising, marketing
  • Close attention to detail
  • Research skills and understanding of grammar
  • Some knowledge of the history of Christian Science and Mary Baker Eddy—and interested to learn more
  • Ability to work in a professional setting and the flexibility to change tasks and focus as the work demands
  • Team player, positive attitude, creative, energetic, organized, prayerful

When do I start?

  • Summer 2008 or sooner

How long is the internship?

  • Minimum 3 months
