Responsibilities:
- Assist with book development from concept to completion — gaining exposure to all aspects of publishing
- Work with and learn from editors and designers who create and design new books and corresponding marketing materials
- Conduct research and synthesize information for editors to review
Desired Qualifications:
- Committed to Christian Science
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Desire to become familiar with any of the following: editing, Bible studies, typesetting and proofreading, graphic design, advertising, marketing
- Close attention to detail
- Research skills and understanding of grammar
- Some knowledge of the history of Christian Science and Mary Baker Eddy—and interested to learn more
- Ability to work in a professional setting and the flexibility to change tasks and focus as the work demands
- Team player, positive attitude, creative, energetic, organized, prayerful
When do I start?
- Summer 2008 or sooner
How long is the internship?
- Minimum 3 months
