Get a behind-the-scenes look at our Herald magazines published in 13 languages: how they operate from concept to design. Gain experience with the editorial process for print, radio, and web. Discover how to present a spiritual response to issues facing youth and the world. Be exposed to thinking globally about Christian Science.
You’ll learn how to:
- apply Christian Science in a deadline-oriented setting
- edit articles and testimonies
- edit electronic audio files (for radio)
- work with a designer
- file electronic and paper documents
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the editing of content for the magazines, web, and radio
- Suggest topics for teens/20-somethings
- Assist with new projects
- Write at least one metaphysical article
- Contact the field, as necessary
Desired Qualifications:
- Journalism or language major (English or any other)
- Proficiency in English and at least one other language
- Familiarity with Photoshop
- Keen interest in Christian Science
- Reader of the Christian Science magazines and websites
- Awareness and appreciation of different cultures
- Interest in global events
- Open minded
How long is the internship?
- 8 to 12 weeks
