It took sometime, but now I can now officially say I am falling in love with the city of Boston.
Hence the Swahili title of my blog today: The good life in Boston. Four weeks ago, I was hesitant about whether I was in my right place. After some prayer, a sprinkle of openness, and a dash of spontaneity I was cured of my hesitation and finally began to enjoy the city, my new friends, and my internship.
What did I learn from this 180 degree change in thought? Well, I learnt what I knew all along, that God knows the right place for us and so all we have to do is be open to His will and what unfolds will be perfect.
So that is what I did. I let perfection unfold. Once I stopped making up excuses for why Boston was not the right place for me to be this summer, I realized just how energetic, warm, and fabulous my summer experience in Boston is and can be.
So folks, not only do you get to learn a new phrase in Swahili today, but you get to hear from a Kenyan girl who is slowly unwrapping, and loving every bit of her gift of Boston. Yet another clear example of how “Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need.”
As always, it is lovely talking to you all and I hope to talk to you again soon. Kwaheri (bye) for now.
