I’ve been here for about a week and a half as an intern for TMC Youth and it’s been so rewarding. Monday was Martin Luther King Day and in thinking about the ideas of what Mary Baker Eddy said, she states “Love hath one race, one realm, one power”. I just love it because that’s what Martin Luther King was trying to achieve. He was teaching us to love one another regardless of what others looked like. When you think about it, when you are having faith in God, loving God, and expressing His/Her ideas, then there isn’t any room for racial or angry towards others.
This week has been a lot of fun! Since my weekends are Friday and Saturday, I have been roaming the streets of Boston! One of my jobs for the Reading Room is bringing Christian Science into the community. Since I have no clue where anything is, I have to really rely on God to direct me in the right direction. Its fun! I actually walked out of my apartment on Friday morning and said “Ok God, lead me!” and within 30 minutes of walking I ended up at St. Francis House.
St. Francis is nonsectarian day shelter. The organization believes that homelessness is an experience, not an identity. In that spirit, they provide a safe, caring, respectful, and dignified refuge for their homeless brothers and sisters. I went over because I thought it would be such a great opportunity to see what they are up to and what they’re thinking about. I also want to share Christian Science with them and their relation of God to man. When visiting for awhile, I saw that there was a lot of good going on. People where helping others, they where praying before and after meals, and just loving each others and visitors one another! I spoke with their director to see if I would be able to come in and do activities and he was very interested in getting on board!
After St. Francis, I headed back to the Church Center and found Hostelling International-Boston. It’s a really fun place! There are so many hostels around the world, and there are places that 16-25 year olds can stay while traveling the country. I thought it would be fun to invite anyone from there to our church services and then afterwards have a Q and A or something where I’m getting them connected to church and God.
Working at the Reading Room has been a lot of fun! I’m currently helping them with their website. Since I love doing photography and people say that I’m great at it, I’m using my talents to show off the reading room!
Hope everyone had a great week!

Nice piece and very courageous not shy away from really going whre you feel lead to. Very good to see something in German here. But I missed the German reference in your text. So here it is (translation of the above):
Thanks for the lines. Please more German.
Also fuege ich ihn doch einfach an.
Danke fuer Deine Zeilen. Bitte mehr davon!
