Divine Mind and the details

Nearly everyday when I go to work at TMC Youth or the Records Management Department, I pass by The Mother Church. I have been looking at the architecture of the building for a while. But one day in late July, as I was looking at the architectural detail of both the original church edifice and the extension of The Mother Church, I realized that it’s really amazing when the minute details catch your attention.

The architectural work made me ponder deeply one of the synonyms of God: infinite Mind. Mind is all-knowing and He is aware of all the ideas that emanate from Him. Intelligence is an attribute of God and man in his true entity expresses this divine intelligence in various ways. Among those ways that this intelligence is expressed is through minute architectural details. It also made me think about the oneness of God with His creation. The beautiful and organized architectural work is not only found in the building of The Mother Church, but also in the design of the different offices on the church plaza-and of course in buildings throughout the city of Boston and the world!

My job at the Records Management Department needs a lot of organization and accuracy. I help with the updating of the iRIMS database, launching programs, and organizing folders into their respective boxes by pulling them out when they have been requested and putting them back when they are returned. The high level of accuracy demanded calls for absolute alertness all the time. What keeps me going is the understanding that God is the source of all accuracy and proper organization, and this is all that we ever need to keep going. Alertness to any kind of daily chore is strongly established when tackled from a mental arena. I have come to realize that we always magnify whatever we subject into our thoughts. Constantly affirming the absolute truth that God is All-in-all and that we draw all our energy from Him, has kept me going in my daily operations here in Boston.

My boss and the entire team I work with are very loving. I usually see the qualities of God being expressed in each and every one of them. There is such a loving atmosphere that it causes you to embrace it with such a warm heart and deep satisfaction. The mental atmosphere exhaled is very uplifting and it has enhanced my desire to daily demonstrate the truth that I have learned so far. The expression of Love in my working environment has enhanced my self-examination as I’ve pondered the question that Mrs. Eddy brought up in Science and Health,

Ask yourself: Am I living the life that approaches the supreme good? Am I demonstrating the healing power of Truth and Love?

We all strive to answer these questions well, and we can because Mind supplies the answers in our thought and action. He is always in the process of revealing His own ideas to us.

Working with both TMC Youth and the Records Management Department has helped me better appreciate the fact that what blesses one blesses all. It’s always fundamental to express good and the good that you do is never a waste. God is good and when goodness is expressed, it is an affirmation that God is the source of that goodness.
