Buongiorno from the Christian Science Plaza!!!!
My name is Michael Trevail, and I’m currently TMC Youth’s newest intern for 2007. I started a week ago. I’ll be devoting my time to the Reading Room, Sunday School activities department, and TMC Youth. I’m working with such an amazing team from all three departments and everyone on the church plaza has been so welcoming to me.
I am currently a freshman at American River College majoring in liberal studies. My goal is to be a teacher. Before coming to TMC Youth, I worked at a private school, doing team building with the second through fifth graders in the after-school program.
To tell you a little about myself, I’m going to start at the point when my life changed dramatically. I was adopted when I was 5 years old from Bucharest, Romania, where I born there! After Romania I lived in Vicenza, Italy for 9 years and have been in the United States for the past 6 years.
Before moving to Boston, I lived in Sacramento, California where I was a member of the Carmichael church for 5 years. There, I served on the youth committee and ushered. After turning 20, I became a substitute teacher at my Sunday School.
I have been a camper and counselor at the Adventure Unlimited Ranches. While working there, I was able to take 2 weeks off for Primary Class Instruction. Christian Science Primary Class Instruction is a two week course in spiritual healing. It was designed by Mary Baker Eddy for those who have been inspired by the ideas in her book, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
Class is also for those who have a heart-felt desire to heal others through prayer. It’s a unique and precious opportunity to dig further into your relationship with God.
My fruitage for the week is a healing about “Spiritual Elevation”. When I arrived Friday for interviews with TMC Youth, I started getting light headed because I was on the 20th floor (which is pretty high). I did great on the interviews and I didn’t want anyone to know what was going on.
Then on Monday after work, I had noticed that it happened again throughout the day. This is when I told myself that mortal mind wasn’t going to have fun with me anymore. I contacted my teacher that night while I was on the train, and she had talked to me about how my purpose is to love and serve God and not accept anything else that would get into my thinking. She had pointed to me that during the summers, I climb 14,000 foot peaks, so 20 floors wasn’t something to have an issue with.
What’s great about elevation is our Father Mother is with us all the time. During Sunday School at A/U, one of my campers told me, “God is up, God is down, and God is all around!” That says it all. God is present with us 24-7. She’s there to meet our needs; we just have to be willing to listen to those angel messages!

Michael - To-day I’m practicing what you shared in your work for the Reading Room. You started the day, “God, Lead me!” To-day I pray with this also. Thanks!!
Hey Anonymous!
Thanks so much for the comment…. It’s so amazing to be willing to let God guide us isn’t it?!?!
I’m sure everyone and I (personally) would love to hear about your experience on how your going to let “God, Lead” you!!
