Hi guys. Well I’ve started at my new school and I’m now having a great time so far. I have found some excellent friends who express loads of joy, peace, and love towards me and my other mates. I also get to eat loads of Indian curries at school, which I am slowly starting to like!

To be honest after the first few weeks at my new school, I was feeling quite low, I missed my old friends and my grades were going down. There were many topics I had not previously studied.

My main problem was chemistry. As I sat down to discuss-crying frantically-with my parents how I wanted to quit the subject , all I could think of was that I really wished I had just stayed in England with good grades and an easy enough lifestyle. However, after talking with my mum it became clear to me that I wasn’t here on my own, God was helping me every step of the way. She talked with me about how He wouldn’t give me a challenge that I couldn’t complete. So now I continue to take chemistry and with each test my grades have been gradually improving:-).

As a family we have been away on two mini-holidays. The first one was to Jaipur where there is a place called the Red Fort. We also saw elephants being used as transportation which was really interesting. On our second break, which was to Agra, we went with our cousins who were visiting. Here we saw loads of monkeys, and of course, the Taj Mahal. It was really beautiful. And after seeing the way the sun rises causing tiny pieces of stone to glitter in real life, I totally agree with it being named one of the seven wonders of the world.

I sometimes have to remind myself why I bothered coming over here. Why didn’t I just stay in England where everything was going well for me? Well, my answer to that is that God is with me everywhere. It doesn’t matter what country I live in, what school I go to or how hot the temperature is, He is always with me, guiding me, and keeping me safe. Along with all that, I get this great opportunity to grow spiritually and experience new and wonderful things!

I like so much how you’re dealing with the stuff you face spiritually. It’s clearly helping you and I’ll bet it’s helping everyone around you, too. The world needs people like you!

You have lots of courage, and “your strength is in proportion to your courage.” (from S&H) Spiritual strength is giving you what you need every day in that country to deal with climate, food, and friendships –probably language too — which seems so far from home.
My mom used to say “We’re as close as our thoughts.”
    It’s true.
And you are truly learning you are part of a bigger family — God’s family. Good going there! Well done!
