Start right
» Rejoice in perfect God and perfect man. Cherish the majesty and might of God and the dignity and soundness of God’s spiritual idea, man. (See Science and Health, p. 259.)
Allay fear
» Erase the fear of the patient as well as your own anxiety. God is Love and knows how to control and care for all His spiritual creation. Man is exempt from disease and danger. Delight in these facts. (See Science and Health, p. 411.)
Truthful explanation
» To the sick, mentally declare, "You are well, and you know it." That’s how God made us and keeps us. If you love God’s man enough you will refuse to allow him to accept anything less than absolute truth. (See Miscellaneous Writings, p. 220.)
» To the sinner, mentally declare, "You have no pleasure in sin." (See Miscellaneous Writings, p. 241.) Convince yourself and the patient that satisfaction is found in Soul, God.
Persist with spiritual facts
» Realize the presence of health, holiness, and harmony. Persist in affirming what God, the all-wise Mind, is and knows, as well as what you know as Mind’s dynamic self-expression. You will heal when you understand what you say. (See Science and Health, p. 412 and p. 437.)
Uncover error
» Know completely that temptation’s evils—lust, envy, hate, etc.—cannot attract or influence anyone. Both a physical trouble and the error in thought producing it should be seen as unreal and no part of God’s pure and perfect idea. (See Science and Health, p. 419.)
Trust the treatment
» The Word of God, Christ, is finding expression in your spiritual insights and affirmations. Nothing can hinder the Christ active in your prayer. The light of Christ does not give the darkness of error a choice. (See Science and Health, p. 419.)
Flex your spiritual muscle
» God’s idea is not weak or timid. You express the infinite might of Spirit. Utilize your God-given dominion. Control thought with a divine swagger. (See Science and Health p. 390.)
No power but God
» Since God is the only Mind, there is no evil—no mind to counterfeit the good that God is and is doing through your prayer. Affirm that nothing stops or hinders your prayer. (See Science and Health p. 469.)
The spirit of Christ
» The spirit of truth and love that is the foundation of your life and prayer heals, not your words. Just as a plane uses its engines to move down a runway in order to achieve lift, we employ words in prayerful affirmations and denials to help move thought, in order to discover more of the elevating spirit of Christ. (See Science and Health p. 454.)
Signs of healing
» The mental signs of healing—feelings of peace, joy, and spiritual conviction inform you that the Christ has done the healing work. Your understanding that God directs your thoughts will inspire you to, if needed, pray about anything that needs to be addressed later, while at the same time confidently demanding and trusting that total healing is inevitable. (See Science and Health, p. 169.)
End right
» Rejoice that what you have just known of the truth is a law. This law governs the thought and experience of your patient. Its loving intention cannot be stopped and goes on, undisturbed, forever and ever. Affirm that this it true and that you know that you know it.
» "For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the
glory, forever.
For God is infinite, all-power, all Life, Truth, Love, over
all, and All." (Science and Health, p. 17.)

Keith: Missed you Sunday…though it sounds like you and Carolyn had a good visit. I think we can craft better announcements by reading the Readers’ Guide…thought of several things as I was scanning it.
I’ll not change the announcing of the subject unless I get it directly from the Board.
Good Blog……….full of interesting and helpful food.

Keith,
WOW! You really know how to light up a room. What pure, simplistic ideas to view such beautiful ideas. With heartfelt gratitude for sending a sparkle and shine to brighten my day. As you say, “Ways that amaze.”
Very inspirational! Thanks!
Keith,
So very helpful and direct. I love the simplicity of this Science when it comes to me forthright, as this blog did.
Sammie
Glad you have enjoyed the blog.
I love how the simplicity of Christ does not take away from its power.
Keith
I like how this blog is organized! Thanks for the great ideas to work with =)
What great cliff notes.
What a phrase! “Control thought with a divine swagger. ” At first I thought, um…swagger has such a boastful, bragging connotation, but then I thought about the word “divine” that you used to describe the “swagger” and what a beautiful revelation sprang forth! Divine Mind being egoistic NOT egotistic, knows only of itself and therefore knows itself as All. To dispute and dismiss material sense which is nothing and unnecessary with all the authority and power of divine Love is indeed legitimate self-confidence.
To Pam, I like that. We live and pray “with all the authority and power of divine Love.”
The personal sense that is cocky is filled with a false sense of self-importance. It tries real hard to be something; however, it is just a counterfeit of our real selfhood. Our spiritual sense, on the other hand, is where Spirit expresses spontaneous delight in its grandeur and goodness.
Very well done..both Keith’s dissertation and unfolding comments on both sides.
