A wonderful uplifting reminder of who is in charge. Someone just told me we are just followers of God's commands not originators of plans of action. Think of Moses and his feelings of inadequacy in leading the israelites out of Egypt and God's assurance of his fitness. We are witnesses of God's being. Even Jesus said "I of my own self can do nothing it is the father within me.

great, great blog, Estey...and so generous of you to take the time to share. thx! LOVE the idea of God being the pilot. and...really appreciate you pointing out that God was and is always communicating w/ you. i have a major creative project to start today that's kind of intimidating. i accept your challenge to let go of the steering wheel and let God guide my thoughts. :-)

When you say you let God guide your steering wheel how does that apply to intense situations? I find it's easy to let God guide the steering wheel for big life choices - but when faced with an immediate decision I find it difficult to turn to God because I often need time to quiet my own thought and to listen. What do you do in scenarios where you need a more instant response?
