When will online registration be open for the Houston summit??

    Thanks!!

  2. 2. Adriane ~

Tried to register this morning online. FYI - Says registration is closed.

  3. 3. Kevin ~

    Registration is up and running!

  4. 4. cynthia ~

Who do I contact regarding hotel accommodations for groups?

  5. 5. Ann ~

Are any activities or discussions separated by age? Just wondering if the 25-30 year olds, for example, would have any opportunities to be together separate from younger folks who might have different needs and interests?

  6. 6. Deborah ~

Yes, some of the activities will be divided into age groups to meet the needs and interests of all attending.
Regarding hotel accommodations - everyone will be staying at the same hotel, but we can work on putting groups in the same area of the hotel.

  7. 7. Ann ~

I don’t see where the hotel information is located. We already made some reservations but of course can change them if better to stay at the same hotel as others, if we’ve booked at the wrong one. We booked at the Doubletree Guest Suites that appeared to be close to 7th Church. Was this the correct one or not? Thanks!

Housing for attendees is included at no additional cost at the Drury Inn, also near Seventh Church. Transportation between the hotel, church, and Saturday night activity will also be provided.

  9. 9. Ann ~

Are accommodations planned for both Friday and Saturday nights at the Drury Inn? So, you’re saying loding is included in the registration fee? We will need reservations for both nights, driving to Houston and arriving late Friday evening and then needing to wait and drive home on Sunday.

  10. 10. Jane ~

Yes, accomodations are included for both nights at the Drury Inn for attendees. Just indicate that you need lodging for both nights on your registration. Thanks!

  11. 11. Peter ~

What about transportation to/from the airport? Which airport is closest? I noticed that the D.C. Summit is 2 days, and Houston is listed as 1 day, is that right (and why the D.C one is $25 more)? Thanks for any reply.

  12. 12. Ann ~

Is it the Drury Inn at 1615 West Loop South location, also near the Galleria? Thank you!

  13. 13. Bill ~

Airport transportation is the responsibility of attendees. The planning committee would suggest using SuperShuttle (see www.SuperShuttle.com). One-way transportation on SuperShuttle is about $24 per person to/from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and $19 per person to/from Houston Hobby Airport (HOU). Reservations can be made on the SuperShuttle web site. If multiple attendees are traveling together, SuperShuttle also has rates for renting the entire van for up to 10 people ($75 to/from IAH per van, $50 to/from HOU per van). These are the rates published on the SuperShuttle web site — we are seeing if we can get a group rate.

Taking a taxi is another option, but I would guess the cost would be a bit more than twice the SuperShuttle rate. If multiple attendees can share a taxi, that might be another economical alternative.

Yes, the Dury Inn is at 1615 West Loop South near the Galleria. There is an interactive map of the area on the Drury web site www.druryhotels.com/properties/houstongalleria.cfm which may help you. If you click on the map and slide it to the right (so you can see more west of the hotel), you’ll see San Felipe Rd just west of the hotel location. If you follow San Felipe Rd west a few blocks, you’ll see Yorktown St going south. Seventh Church is on Yorktown St across from Grady Park.

Can the youth who live in Houston stay at the Hotel too?
It would be a nice opportunity to really make friends and connect and share!

  15. 15. MB ~

I registered my son on-line, but had to make corrections to the information later. I was unable to re-print the form to send to you. Will the system have the capability to do this at some point so I can get it to you? Also, will we be receiving confirmation via e-mail or in the mail about the registration? If so, how long does it take?

  16. 16. Cyrus Njagi ~

Ive always desired to attend because I admire the ideas usually shared and when Ive money I will attend one.

  17. 17. Salomon ngalamulume ~

can’t wait for that day to come

  18. 18. Carlos ~

I just registered and did not request lodging since I live in Houston, but I agree with Mary that it would be nice to to share that experience with the rest of the group. If there are empty beds once rooms have been assigned, I’d like to be included in the hotel arrangements.
